Le Mans
The annual 24 hour race at Le Mans is a highlight of all endurance teams and fans. The 25 Haures du Mans has been held annually since 1923. The Curcuit de Sarthe is located a few kilometers from Le Mans townand is organised by the ACO.
The race itself is run on a curcuit and closed public roads. The whole idea is not just speed but speed endurance and reliability. Manufacture would build cars to these specs to withstand heavy loads for long distances.
With diesels moving forward in motorsport Audi have been victors for the last few years with their TDI Le Mans car.
